Frequently Asked Questions

You may be wondering…

  • I’m based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and I’m happy to travel to surrounding towns and venues across Southwest Saskatchewan. Travel outside Swift Current is charged at $50 per hour (round trip).

For locations more than 1.5 hours away, or if an early start means I’d need to leave Swift Current before 7:00am to complete all applications on time, we’ll chat about the best option, and overnight accommodation may be required.

  • As soon as you have your date, I recommend booking - popular weekends and prime-time slots go quickly, especially during peak wedding and grad seasons.

    As a guide:

Bridal: ideally 4–12 months ahead (earlier for peak Saturdays).

Grad: typically 6-12 months ahead, the sooner the better if you’re booking with friends or want a specific time.

2026 bookings opened January 1, so if your date is locked in, jumping in early is the best way to secure your preferred time.

  • Yes - I offer bridal makeup trials, and they’re typically required (unless we’ve agreed otherwise).

A trial is your chance to perfect your wedding-day makeup look. We’ll chat through your inspiration, skin prep, coverage preferences, and what you want to feel like on the day, so everything is seamless and stress-free.

Tip: Most brides book their trial 4–8 weeks before the wedding (or earlier if you’re travelling or have engagement photos).

Based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan - bridal trials are held in-studio unless otherwise arranged.

  • As a guide, most makeup appointments run 45–60 minutes per person, with bridal makeup typically 60–90 minutes. Bridal trials are usually around 90 minutes, and 1:1 makeup lessons are commonly 60–90 minutes depending on what you’d like to cover.

If you’re booking for a group (bridal party or grad friends), I’ll confirm timing when your booking is locked in so the schedule runs smoothly.

  • Yes! I offer 1:1 online makeup lessons via video call (perfect if you’re not in Swift Current). We’ll work with your current makeup bag and brushes, and I’ll guide you step-by-step with personalised techniques to suit your features and routine. Most online lessons run 60–90 minutes, depending on what you’d like to cover.

  • Arrive with clean & hydrated skin. Avoid last-minute skincare changes (that’s the biggest thing that can cause irritation, flare ups and/or pimples).

1–2 weeks before: Stick to your usual routine. Gentle exfoliation 1–2x/week only if your skin already tolerates it.

48 hours before: Skip anything intense (strong acids/peels, harsh scrubs) and avoid anything that typically makes you red or sensitive.

On the day: Come with a clean, makeup-free face. Apply a light moisturiser. Avoid face oils right before your appointment. If it’s daytime, apply SPF as you normally would.

Perfect for bridal and grad makeup. Smooth base, better wear, better photos.
